The British Invasion

I could not help but notice the large amount of recent magazine issues that have Britished themed covers and articles! Tatler's November 300th Anniversary edition is sporting a rather British looking cover and a large portfolio of the most socially powerful and influential people in Britain today.

Further, singer Lily Allen graces the cover of British Elle October 2009 issue in honour of the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week. She was photographed by Rankin and poses with blonde hair and dresses in sexy clothes by popular British designers:Richard Nicoll, Stella McCartney, Burberry and Giles. Not bad for a once cider swigging, prom dress and high top wearing teen.

Rocker, Pete Doherty was also photographed and interviewed for the London issue, click on the link to watch a short documentary of the shoot! http://www.elleuk.com/elletv/(channel)/inside-elle/(playlist)/ELLE-Magazine/(video)/behind-the-shoot-pete-doherty

The Harper's Bazaar October issue was a "British Fashion Special" and had a 70s style shot of British model Lily Cole.

Us Brits are definatley on top of the fashion game at the moment, and have been for some time. Who can forget the Kate Moss cover shot by Nick Knight for the December 2001 issue of Vogue? Channeling her inner Brit and rebel, this picture has remained famous and sparked controversy within the industry.
